The New President of the Mancomunitat
Rosa Sebastià Asensi
The councillor of the Algemesí Town Council, Rosa Sebastià Asensi, has been elected by the Plenary of the Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta in the session that took place on November 15 in the Alzira Town Council. In this plenary Rosa Sebastià, nominated by the Partido Popular, obtained 57 votes, compared to 32 of Robert Martinez, the candidate of the PSPV, and 5 of the candidate of the Bloc Pere Muñoz.
With this election Rosa Sebastià becomes the fourth president of the Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta and replaces the former president Joaquin Martin Coné. Rosa Sebastià has a Master in Business Computing and Graphic Design and is currently the councillor of Tourism, Social Housing and Town-twinning at the Town Council of Algemesí.
In his speech before the Plenary of the Mancomunitat the new President, as well as the candidates of the PSPV and the Bloc, highly praised the former president Joaquin Martin and stated her intention of bringing the Mancomunitat closer to the inhabitants of the region and working always for the general interest and never for the partisan one.
