The New President of the Mancomunitat
Rosa Sebastià Asensi
Rosa Sebastià Asensi, a councilor of the city council of Algemesí, has been elected as the president of the Mancomunitat in a plenary session that took place on November 15th in the Plenary Hall of the city council of Alzira. In this plenary session Rosa Sebastià, the candidate nominated by the Partido Popular, received 57 votes; Robert Martínez, the candidate of the PSPV, 32; and Pere Muñoz, the candidate of the Bloc, 5 votes.
Thus, Rosa Sebastià becomes the fourth president of the Mancomunitat de la Ribera Alta and replaces the previous president, Joaquin Martin Coné. Rosa Sebastià has studied a Master in Business Computer and a Master in Graphic Design and, now, she is the Councilor for Tourism, Housing and Cooperation in Algemesí's City Council.
In her speech before the Plenary, the new President, as well as the PSPV and the Bloc candidates, praised the previous president Joaquin Martin and declared her intention of bringing the Mancomunitat closer to its citizens. Furthermore, she declared her intention of working at all times for the benefit of the public and not for a partisan one.
